1 Corinthians 4:1-2

31 May, 2021

You should think of us as Christ’s servants, who have been put in charge of God’s secret truths. The one thing required of such a servant is that he be faithful to his master. –  1 Corinthians 4:1–2

Dear Heavenly Father, in great exultation we lift up your Name in praise and glory, for we are as servants and yet you have elevated us to the status of co-heirs, the children of Heaven. We have been chosen by our faith and by baptism of the Holy Spirit to be your elect, and with Christ as the Head of the Church and we as members, with the Holy Spirit as counselor and guide we intend to attain spiritual grace and growth.

Through Jesus, you have instituted your Church here on earth, entrusting us with the mission of evangelization by word and by virtue. The secrets of your Kingdom have been and continue to be imparted by your Spirit of Truth and many mysteries have been revealed in the Holy gospel, for our reflection and dispensation among all people, more so, unbelievers, who knowing your Name, show readiness to come to conversion.

Lord, you are our Master and we your faithful servants, for you have taught us that we have a responsibility to remain humble and serve our God and his people. By example, it is our duty to show them the Light of the world and the unwavering assurance of eternal life with faith in your promises. Help us Lord to perform our Christian duties as stewards of our God, through steadfast faith in the name of Jesus. Amen
