As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10
Abba Father, the Creator and Giver of life, we owe each breath that we survive with on this earth to you and you alone, who by your precious grace and free favor has endowed us with benefits, each distinct from the other. This enables us to share with each other our special talents and to minister to each other as occasion demands, for the glory of your Name.
Lord, many of us Christians may not recognize or identify and so, not be able to activate the God given talents we have been expressly granted and they may lie dormant and latent. We need to start discovering and animating your gifts to us and make them function, matching the purpose for which they are given, to the benefit of Christ’s body. Neglect of our gift is an indication of lack of appreciation for the grace you have blessed us with, which is not earned by us in any way that we can be boastful of, but which has been fully unmeritorious.
If our faith has earned your favor Lord, you generously pour out blessings and graces and the gifts of your Holy Spirit, which we need to acknowledge and put to use for the specific purpose they are meant for. Our lives are short, so being sober in worldly matters, we pray to be earnest in our spiritual lives, giving our all to you, Lord, for you are our portion and nothing but glory through Christ Jesus, abides forever, in the Name of Jesus. Amen
