By the presence of the Holy Spirit, Jesus is truly with us – John 16: 5- 11
Beloved Father, Jesus sent to those who believe in him, the Holy Spirit, to be a Divine Counselor, a Paraclete, a Comforter, the Giver of gifts and the One who helps us bear the fruits of virtues. Many of us seldom pray to the Holy Spirit nor understand the value of your Spirit’s role in our daily lives. Reveal the Spirit more to us that our hearts may be more open to the works of the Spirit. May we grow in devotion with the Third Person of the Triune Godhead, invoking him in our need.
May we understand the important role that the Spirit plays in our lives that we may be guided well in living according to your will, Heavenly Father. We are born again in the Spirit, and our new birth is the result of intercession and travail in you, Holy Spirit, who are the Spirit of God. Through you we receive the truth that, through the cross Jesus destroyed the power of Satan, sin, fear, poverty, sickness, the curse of the Law.
The Church is human, because all followers of the truth in faith, constitute the Church with Jesus, the Founder, as its Head. But it is not merely a human organization, it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus brought the fire of the Spirit to the earth and the Church is reformed by the gratuity of the anointing of grace, the power of prayer, the joy of mission, and the disarming beauty of poverty. We give you Father, worship and honor as First Person, inviting the Spirit to dwell within us for in that manner, we will abide in Jesus and he in us. Amen
