Deuteronomy 10:12

26 June, 2021

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul? Deuteronomy 10:12

Lord God, you created us out of the perfection of your love, rendering us your own image, as a father would, to his children. You breathed life into us, giving us your own Spirit. Indeed, we were lacking for nothing. All you wanted was total commitment to walk in your Way, in accordance with your Holy Will, unendangered by Satan’s evil influences.

But we failed and proved unworthy of your goodness, kindness, steadfastness and faithfulness. Fear begets wisdom. We lost fear and with it, lost wisdom, becoming embittered, proud and full of craftiness and rebellion.

Our Lord Jesus rescued us, sinners, and redeemed us, justifying us, and forging a new Covenant with you. By his cross, death and resurrection we have been reconciled with you, Father. All we want now, is to be restored in your sight, to prove worthy of your everlasting Promises by our love, service and obedience and to stand rejoicing, in your Divine Presence.

We make sincere retribution for our multiple offenses, aware that we have allowed the evil one to hold sway over us, in our attachment to worldly pleasures and temptations that are temporal.

With your indwelling Holy Spirit sanctifying us with your grace and leading us in the way of Truth, we worship and honor you Father, for all your grace and blessings and pledge our allegiance to walk in your ways, in Jesus’ Name we humbly pray. Amen
