But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Galatians 4:4–5
God of creation, of infinite wisdom, power and mercy, infallible and trustworthy, you have allowed creation to run according to your plans and purposes in a way which surpasses human intelligence. The Messiah prophesied about thousands of years before his actual coming, made his appearance into the world at a time appointed and preordained by you.
When man was into the very depth of sin, strife and degradation, when no hope seemed visible and humanity was tottering on the brink of hopelessness, you sent a beacon of the most iridescent light to radiate and light up the whole world, and to save mankind from perishing into the irrevocable fire of damnation because of the extent of their ungodliness and sinfulness.
And so, the incarnation and work of our Savior was accomplished at the most favorable time, when on the whole the race would be most benefited. It was at a time when the world was at Its lowest ebb that it was accorded your divine benevolence, Father God. When that period, therefore, had arrived, you sent your Son on the great work of the world‘s redemption.
As a man, Jesus was bound by the requirements of the law, and subject to its control. He took his place under the law that he might accomplish an important purpose for those who were under it. He made himself subject to it that he might become one of them, and secure our salvation.Jesus not only delivered us, but restored your glory by destroying sin and offering mankind the status of co-heirs, partaking in the eternal kingdom as your children. We pray that by our faith, we may find favor with you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
