Hebrews 10: 24 – 25

29 January, 2023

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

Heavenly Father, we worship and glorify your Holy Name, for the works of your Hands have directed our paths, through the teaching of Jesus Christ to a loving and dedicated fellowship and a strong, spiritually augmented congregation of like-minded and committed Christians. Jesus urged that the gospel doctrine of love and communion with you our Father and with members of Christ’s Body, the Church, should influence Christians for performing our duty one to another.

The whole Body of Christ, consisting of Jew and Gentile, who have equally shared in Christ’s sacrifice, should discern the spiritual state and condition of each other, and every member should be capable of exhorting, reproving, counseling, and comforting one another in the discharge of our mutual duty, for we should remember that we are joined, one to another, as members of One Body.

Father, assist your children in this present day crisis, which has distanced us, to be able to reassemble in communion with each other and take up the duties of our Christian faith through the power of your Holy Spirit. May we practice our faith with added vigor, promoting the salvation of our brethren through persevering in performing the duties for which we assemble, according to your Holy Will. May we strengthen each other’s hearts in the faith, to be faithful witnesses, able to give particular account of ourselves on the day of judgment in Jesus’ Name. Amen
