Hebrews 4: 16

1 July, 2021

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4: 16

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Heavenly Grace, which you supply us as our heart’s desires reach you, and our cries for your favor consume you with mercy for the mankind of your creation. You have, in your human capacity through Jesus, experienced all the devastation and desolation worldly existence causes and having adopted us as your children, we have ingrained faith that you will never abandon us.

O Gracious Sovereign, King of heaven and earth, our faith leaps in our sure confidence that, with the pleadings of the indwelling Holy Spirit on our behalf, you will answer the call of your faithful elect, and gratify us by our deep belief. Jesus has destroyed the chasm which separated us from you, for through the bondage of iniquity binding us to Satan, you had turned your Holy countenance away from us and held us in disgrace.

Yet, your perfect nature could not harbor wrath against us and the distance between us was demolished for all eternity, through the atonement for our offenses by Jesus our Messiah. All terror and dread we encountered has been done away with by Jesus, and your throne of justice is tempered with seasonable grace, so that we can approach you with the boldness of faith and receive pardon, purging and saving graces. As believers, we have complete assurance that we can partake of the beneficence of your kingdom, giving you praise and glory in Jesus’ Name. Amen
