When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43: 2
Dear Abba Father, we glorify your Name and exalt you to the highest heavens, for you have elevated our hearts, allowing us to have faith in you. Your light has enriched and enlightened our souls and the spirit of your grace has sanctified us and shown us the ways by which you save us from darkness, and death. In the midst of death and destruction, captivity and spiritual darkness and the gloom which encompasses us, you keep our hearts safe and free from sinfulness.
We need you Lord, to keep us from stumbling and from falling away from your grace. May your Holy Spirit counsel and direct us, and may your Power and Wisdom precede where we go, so that we can be wary and watchful. May we experience your faithfulness and righteousness, which, when the time comes, you will reveal yourself to the world, and we can have the vision of your glory, and know we are redeemed.
Loving Father, as we face the upheavals and fiery torments of life, instead of being overwhelmed and made helpless, may we remember your Word of Truth, the promises made to us and recall that we are your children. Help us to feel secure with this hope and trust that you will see us through all circumstances, if we surrender to our Mighty, Gracious, Powerful and Loving God, Who loves us with an everlasting love, in Jesus’ Name we claim. Amen
