I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me – just as the Father knows me and I know the Father – and I lay down my life for the sheep. John 10:14–15
Heavenly Father, Most Awesome God, with your Might and Majesty you rule the Universe and all that has been created by your loving hands to a perfection which knows no greater than that displayed. And all for the pleasure of mankind, the highest of your creations. But our ignorance and vanity, our pride and easy surrender to sinful and false illusions jeopardized our connection with you, our Creator God. By the greatest plan of Salvation, the conquering of death and sin by our Messiah Jesus Christ, we are reconciled and justified into your grace and glory.
Jesus, thank you for leading the way, revealing the truth and by your discipline, your protection, and your sacrifice, granting us freedom, redeeming us to life eternal. Without you, Lord, we would have been lost in Satan’s bondage. You are our Good Shepherd, protecting and holding your flock close to your heart, leading us into union with our Father in complete knowledge of his Holy Will.
Father, you sent your Son Jesus to tend to your flock and with unstinting trust we rely on him to lead us, till we enter into your Divine Presence. Our restoration and salvation comes at the cost of his life, which is the accomplishment of everything he promised unto you. It is in the name of Jesus that we enjoy your Divine Providence. We press onwards towards the rewards of our heavenly abode, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
