Then Jesus said to Thomas, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me”. John 20:29
Lord of All, Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and wonder, at Your Being, Infallible and Merciful, Compassionate and Holy. We recognize the challenge that faith without sight presents. In our human nature, we often seek tangible evidence, yearning to see with our own eyes before we believe. Yet, Jesus calls us to a higher plane of trust, one that transcends physical sight and rests in the assurance of His love and truth.
We thank You, Lord, for the example of Thomas, who, though he doubted, ultimately believed when he saw the risen Christ. His journey reminds us that even in our moments of uncertainty, You are patient with us. You meet us where we are, guiding us gently toward a deeper faith. We also acknowledge the special blessing Jesus spoke of—blessed are those who believe without seeing. This blessing is for us, who have not seen the physical Christ, yet believe in Him through the testimony of Scripture and the witness of the Holy Spirit within us.
Help us, Lord, to grow in this faith. Strengthen our belief in the unseen, and grant us the grace to trust in Your presence and promises. May we, like the countless believers who have gone before us, stand firm in our faith, knowing that even though we do not see, we are blessed by Your divine favor. In moments of doubt, remind us of Your faithfulness. In moments of fear, fill us with Your peace. And in all things, let our lives be a testament to the truth that faith in You is more precious than anything we can see. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
