Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.” John 6:68–69
O God, All-powerful, All-Merciful, abounding in love, we are overwhelmed by your Sovereignty and Dominance over all creation. You are the Great ‘I AM’, the Alpha and the Omega, the Sustainer of all your people, the Dispenser of Eternal life through the Anointed One, our Lord Jesus, to those who believe and are redeemed by their unwavering hope in you. All life stems from you, Father, and culminates in you. Assist us in committing our lives to you totally and irreversibly. With your grace, enkindle in us the flame of your Holy Spirit, so that we are spiritually transformed, narrowing and straightening our paths to lead to you. Help us to break down the strongholds that hold us and keep us from truly turning towards you with all our heart. Sustain and restore us whenever we collapse under adversity and the wiles of the tempter. Your word Lord, is everlasting and unchangeable and comes from One whose character and commitment to us is unwavering. With unreserved faith in the infallible nature of your promises, we offer you our trust, our heart and our lives, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
