Luke 10: 20

12 February, 2021

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20

Abba Father, you are the God of victory, of righteousness and of salvation. You have breathed into us your breath and created us in your image, empowering us to aspire to reach as near to being perfect as you are perfect, our mighty creator. We exult in this realization that we have been individually molded into unique beings of singular purpose, with the spirit of God giving life to our souls.

Lord, you manifest your blessings by abundantly bestowing them upon the faithful, those who dwell in Christ and walk along the path of the Spirit of truth. We are exhorted to remain meek and humble, through our suffering in this life gaining  proper perspective and understanding, developing a strong character, with endurance and hope. We need to override hostility with love, patience and absolute trust in your protection and providence, centering our focus on you.

Father, we are saved from the furnace of condemnation of sin by your grace alone, our salvation assured because, in your infinite love and mercy you sent your Son to accomplish it by his sacrificial death and we rejoice that our Savior and Messiah is seated at your right hand, making a place in heaven for all who abide in him and dwell in the spirit of peace, love, faith and trust. We walk in confidence that our names are included in the legion of the blessed, rewarded to reside in your presence, praising and magnifying you, singing your glory in the name of Jesus. Amen
