Mark 7: 37

17 September, 2020

People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.” Mark 7:37

God of Salvation, we praise you for all your marvelous works, which never fail to astound us. Your Sovereign grace, in opening the ears and heart of a sinner, and causing the tongue of the mute to be restored to speech tells of your divinity in the person of Jesus Christ, who performed them to stir the faith of the faint hearted, instill belief in those that partook of it and witnessed it, and bestow grace on even the unworthy.

We are all so burdened with sinfulness, that witnessing the amazing works of your hands is needed to transform us and be filled with blessed consequences. Jesus performed miracles during his ministry, for the good of mankind, and for the glory of your Name and he conducted them to perfection, giving us a glimpse of his holiness, through the conversion and evangelization of sinners.

Jesus chose the weak and showed us the strength of his power and glory in their healing and restoration. He chose the poor and displayed the wealth of his splendor and majesty through their rehabilitation and empowerment. He chose the dead and gave us unequivocal proof of his godliness and the sufficiency of his grace through their resuscitation and revival to life.

He fulfilled all righteousness, preaching the Gospel with authority, and confirming its truth by his miracles.By the great offering of redemption to us, he redeemed us from condemnation, ransomed us out of the hands of Satan and procured the remission of our wrongdoings. He brought us reconciliation with you, our living God, and distributed the divine perfections of justice, grace and mercy to the contentment and pleasure of the whole of Divinity and the hosts of heavenly beings.

Even now, as Advocate and Intercessor, through the divine offices of the Holy Spirit, he is working for the glory of all and we are assured that when we come into your Divine Providence and Presence, it will be in Jesus’ Name. Amen
