PREPARATION FOR THE GOSPEL OF PEACE
And having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; – Ephesians 6:15
We are all called to tell others of the Good News of salvation. Sharing the Good News of the Gospel is the most important task of every Christian, not just for evangelists, pastors or preachers. Each of us have contact with people whom no one else can reach and if we pay attention to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can be efficient workers in the Lord’s “vineyard.”
Telling others about our Lord Jesus Christ is not only for their benefit, but for ours also. As we realize that others are looking at how we live, talk and act, we are more inspired to do our best and become more and more like Christ. Studying the Scriptures and spending time with the Holy Spirit, giving Him time to reveal to us the mysteries of God are essential for us to be able to disciple others and give them biblical advice.
SUGGESTED PRAYER: Dear Lord, it is such an honor to share the Good News of salvation with those around me. Please help me study and understand Your Word through the Holy Spirit so that I know how to live to please You and be able to share Your truth to all that I minister to. Please help me always share about You when the Holy Spirit prompts me to do so and give me the right words that will touch their hearts. Lord, I pray for all those with whom I have ministered to, and did not receive You yet, that You continue to touch their hearts and help them realize how much You love them and that they need to renounce sin and follow You. Glory and honor to Your holy Name, for ever and ever. Amen
