TRUE PATIENCE COMES THROUGH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
“Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” – Colossians 1:11-12
Spiritual growth is immensely rewarding. As we deepen our understanding of God, our perspective shifts to align more with His, and our values continue to evolve. While we will fully embrace God’s value system when we reach heaven, we have the opportunity to grow continually while we remain in these earthly bodies.
As we focus on the Lord, meditating on and nourishing ourselves with His Word, His glorious power continually strengthens us. God’s wisdom is readily available, guiding us in how to endure with patience in every trial. The Holy Spirit is always near, ready to provide the strength we need if we simply ask.
Since discovering that I can call upon His help in any situation, my life has become much easier! This is true for all of us. We can endure everything God places before us and joyfully give thanks to our Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light. Jesus is the light of the world, and we are co-heirs with Him.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
What a great joy it is, dear Lord, to realize all that You have made available to me through Your sacrifice. Glory to God! With the Holy Spirit’s help, I can find the strength to endure all of life’s hardships with patience and a thankful heart. Thank You so much for qualifying me to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light. You deserve all my praise, honor, and obedience. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
