GOD OUR FATHER PREPARED FOR US TO BE ADOPTED THROUGH JESUS
Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. He predestined and lovingly planned for us to be adopted to Himself as [His own] children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the kind intention and good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:5-6
God the Father, predestined us all to become His children and that is why He sent His Son to redeem us. In His amazing love for us, He planned before the beginning of the world, for us to be adopted as His own children, through Jesus Christ. Does this mean that we lost our free will? No way. God did His part for our salvation, now it is our turn to fulfill our part, by choosing Christ and living a pure life in obedience to the Lord.
God is sovereign and just. He never forces us to be His, and allows us our own free will, which has never been canceled. Whenever we chose to accept our salvation through His grace, we became His Children, bringing pleasure to our Father God. Jesus made the way for us to be accepted into God’s family! Glory be His Holy Name.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your decision to adopt me into Your own family, the family of Christ. I am very grateful that it was Your will and pleasure to do so. By Your amazing grace, I am accepted as Your inherited child, a child of God. With all my faults, You still wanted me to be Yours. Please assist me in remaining true to You and living for Your glory, thus fulfilling Your Holy Will. In the Name of Jesus I pray. Amen
