THE PEACE OF CHRIST CAN RULE IN A FAITHFUL AND THANKFUL HEART
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15
Peace is the key to unity and is the foundation of lasting relationships. True unity is between people that have inner peace. When we are disturbed, restless or worried, the condition of our hearts is reflected in our words and actions. If we do not take time to calm down and get our inner peace back, it will not be long before we hurt or offend someone.
God did not create us for stress and fear. We were created to live with the calm and inner peace resulting from having a sincere relationship with Jesus Christ. Many people today are very busy, insecure, fearful, worried, and always on the run. There is much news and information in mass media that panic and stress those who believe them. It is up to us to decide what we feed our minds with. If our source is the Bible and we seek to spend as much time as possible with other Christians, the peace of Jesus will reign in our hearts.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Father God, please help me keep my peace in hard times, and choose to praise You no matter what. Help me stop being miserable because of how things go and know that You always have the best solutions for my problems. Thank You with all my heart for the peace that surpasses all understanding that helps me make the right decisions and do Your will. Please help me to always choose to thank You for what is good in my life, and not fall into the pit of hopelessness, believing the lies of the enemy. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen
