Philippians 4: 8-9

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8–9

Almighty Father, you have imparted to us your flawless, impeccable likeness of form and breathed into us your unblemished, sublime spirit, nurturing us with the pride of a Father in his children. But we chose to defy you and in your justified rage you banished us to the netherworld. Yet, your undiminished love for us rescued us from our loathsome plight, offering us a chance to reinstate ourselves in your sight and regain entry into your kingdom as nothing less than your children. So exemplary is your flame of love for mankind that we prostrate before you in praise, gratefulness and wonderment. Our unworthiness is so stark when faced with your might and glory that we shrink to nothingness before you. You sent your Son Jesus to shed us of our degenerate spirit and transport us into the light of your truth, dying to save us and leaving us with your Holy Spirit. Exhorted by our Lord and compelled by his absolutte sacrifice we undertake to walk in your ways in humble service. May our intentions be honorable, pure, gracious, laudable, in opposition to pride and hypocrisy. May your peace reign in our hearts forevermore, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
