Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25–26
O my God, Magnificent and Mysterious, we marvel at the splendor of your creation, the perfection of your plans, the wonder of your absolute wisdom and the immensity of your abiding love for us. You are our stronghold and sanctuary, our Omnipotent God, our Refuge forever. We yearn for you with the deepest desires of our redeemed hearts. We seek you endlessly, craving the awakening of our souls possible only with your Most Holy Spirit enkindling us with the flames of your redeeming grace. We are languishing Lord, burdened and stifled by this tormented world, agitatedly awaiting your healing touch to sustain us. Lord, raise us to spiritual heights, dismissing all the enticements of this fabricated earth and experiencing the sanctuary of your constancy to soothe our embittered souls and captivate our deadened hearts. You are all that matters Lord and we offer total surrender, persevering in pursuing with integrity, a life filled with your pervading grace. Following and imitating Christ’s passion and suffering, by carrying our cross on earth willingly and without complaining is the life of grace that consumes us for the One who is the Author of our life and the Promise of our salvation. We invoke your assistance in Jesus’ Name. Amen
