Revelation 7: 9-10

23 February, 2021

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10

Almighty God we prostrate before you in worship of our Creator God, along with the Cherubim and Seraphim, who represent all created life, singing in perpetual adoration of you, our Maker. Lord our God, you are worthy to receive all glory and honour and power, for you created all things that fill the universe, animate and inanimate. We sing a new song, thanking you for granting us redemption, as angel choruses pour forth in chants of thanksgiving and every creature in heaven and earth and water joins in the adoration of our magnificent God, who is Lord and Maker of us all.

The vast multitude of the congregation of innumerable believers, from every nation and language and community upon the earth and all the redeemed, in front of your throne, which no one can number, join in magnifying your power and glory, in the hope of your kingdom to be established on the earth, and in waiting to behold in wonderment, your Divine Presence, and the presence of our Redeemer, at your right hand, along with the Holy Spirit, to complete the Triune Godhead.

Lord, you have anointed the elect as your children and as members of the body of Christ, we strive to do your holy will for the emancipation of all people, by spreading your doctrine and making you known to every living soul. We pray for all the missionaries and ministers of your Church, engaged in Christ’s ministry entrusted to us. With our destination marked and our salvation awaiting us, we plead for mercy and forgiveness for the whole of sinful mankind, who are yet to be saved, and trust that in unity, we will secure your saving grace, through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen
