TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
25 APRIL 2026
Mark 16:15-20
Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them:
“Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved;
whoever does not believe will be condemned.
These signs will accompany those who believe:
in my name they will drive out demons,
they will speak new languages.
They will pick up serpents with their hands,
and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.
They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them,
was taken up into heaven
and took his seat at the right hand of God.
But they went forth and preached everywhere,
while the Lord worked with them
and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.
THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD!

REFLECTION
In Mark 16:15–20, the risen Jesus gives a clear and urgent mission: “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” This is not a suggestion but a calling entrusted to every believer. The Gospel is meant to be shared, not kept hidden. Faith is not passive; it moves outward, touching lives through word, action, and witness.
The passage also speaks of belief and trust. Those who believe are invited into a living relationship with Christ, one that transforms the heart and empowers the soul.

The signs mentioned are not about personal glory, but about God working through those who surrender to Him. It is a reminder that when we step out in faith, we do not go alone—God’s power accompanies His mission.
Finally, we see that after giving this commission, Jesus ascends into heaven, yet continues to work through His disciples. This reveals a deep truth: Christ is still active in the world today through those who follow Him. Our daily lives—our words, kindness, courage, and faith—become instruments through which His presence is made visible.

PRAYER
Lord Jesus, You have called me to go forth and share Your love with the world. Give me the courage to live my faith boldly and the humility to serve without seeking recognition. Strengthen my trust in You, especially when I feel weak or uncertain.
Help me to be a witness of Your truth in my words and actions. Let my life reflect Your compassion, Your mercy, and Your light. Work through me, Lord, so that others may come to know Your love.
Stay with me always, as You promised, and guide me each day in fulfilling the mission You have given. Amen
