Saint Eusebius of Vercelli lived during the fourth century, when the Church was deeply divided by the Arian heresy, which denied the full divinity of Jesus Christ. As Bishop of Vercelli in northern Italy, he courageously defended the true faith proclaimed at the Council of Nicaea. When Emperor Constantius II demanded that he condemn Saint Athanasius, Eusebius refused. For his unwavering loyalty to Christ and the truth, he was arrested, stripped of his freedom, and exiled to Palestine, Cappadocia, and Egypt. Even in suffering, he remained steadfast, teaching us that faith must never be compromised for comfort or approval.
 

COURAGE TO DEFEND THE TRUTH
