The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. – Proverbs 9:10
God our Creator, we walk in awe of you, O Mighty God, for you have formed us and have laid out for us a purpose, and perfect plans that are to prosper us, if we adhere to your Most Holy Will and walk in humble obedience according to your Ways. Lord, your righteousness, faithfulness, kindness, mercy and compassion are immutable and unshakeable. Your Holy attributes embody purity and sanctity and an everlasting, infinite power and the earth obeys and bows before your Majesty.
You are, were and always will be the great ‘I AM’, the Power of the universe, having dominion over all that is, was and ever will be. Your Omnipresence and Omniscience, your Omnipotence, tells of the marvel, magnificence and wonder of your Being. You know all the secret plots of human beings, our fickleness and sinfulness, and you confound the cunning devices of men, disposing of their proposals and altering their schemes. But you sustain the faithful, mindful of their sufferings and woes.
Lord, our hope is in you and in your promises, for Jesus has given us your Word and commandment of your New Covenant and we gain experiential knowledge every time we encounter your Presence in our lives. We continue relying on you everyday Lord, for your Power is absolute and your love unchanging. With your Holy Spirit we dwell under your protection and pray that in Jesus’ Name we can have access to your grace and favors, as in Jesus’ Name we praise and worship you. Amen
