Holy Family Church, Palghar, Maharashtra
Holy Family Church, Bhuigaon was established in 1946 to serve the Catholic families of Bhuigaon who previously had to travel long distances to attend services at the nearby Nirmal parish. The church was created to provide a closer place of worship and to strengthen the spiritual life of the local community.
The original church building was constructed on land donated by villagers with support from the Archdiocese of Bombay. The first parish priest, Acuico Dourado, guided the early community, and over time the structure was renovated and expanded. The current building, completed in 1984, continues to serve as a center for worship, reflection, and gatherings.
Today, Holy Family Church, Bhuigaon is an active parish under the Diocese of Vasai. It hosts regular masses, community events, and social activities, remaining a vital part of village life. The church not only provides spiritual solace but also stands as a symbol of the faith, heritage, and unity of the people of Bhuigaon.rograms.
