Hebrews 11:1

28 November, 2022

To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1

Abba Father, we are immensely blessed that you are our God of salvation who has delivered us from the bondage of sin and death. We have the assurance from our Lord, Jesus Christ, that your promises are real and your faithfulness and steadfastness prevails forever. We believe that Jesus has saved us by his death on the cross and that our entitlement to sonship and everlasting life is accomplished and will come to pass.

We have hope because, though we cannot see you, we can feel your presence and have been brought to the fullness of knowledge of your being, by the testimony of Jesus and by fulfillment of the prophecies that were made much before his coming. Our hope builds true confidence in us because it is a supernatural hope, felt by all believers, who have been born again and have the indwelling Holy Spirit fortifying their faith. We have been given eyes to see and experience what others cannot.

Lord, bless us to live by your holy word, by your doctrines and commands contained in the holy gospel. The more we are nourished by the promise of being children of God, the more we grow in our belief. Please help our unbelief in times when we are grievously tested. Our faith in you is what endows us with your saving grace and gives us confidence to spread your gospel of truth and continue our mission of evangelization. We persevere in purifying and sanctifying our lives, giving it purpose by testifying and enduring all, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
