Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. – Joshua 1:9
Lord God, you are our Rock of Strength, our Fortress, our very Foundation, and we worship and glorify our Mighty God with songs of praise on our lips and with absolute trust in our hearts, building up our restraint, temperance, and fortitude. For we have the assurance of your faithfulness and unquestionable faith in your steadfastness. The strength of your promises keeps us sturdy in the belief that your infallible plan is at work in us. We walk in the Spirit of your love and are guided on the right path, treading fearlessly, knowing you are in control.
With firmness, confidence and comfort in your Holy Word, Lord, we accept all crosses which come our way, believing in the gain which will proceed from obedience to your Holy Will. For you have assured great rewards for those who follow your command with quiet endurance. We know Lord, that your watchful eyes are ever on us, and that your power and mercy, along with your saving grace, are ever in favor of the upright, who fearlessly wait for you.
You give all the righteous, who hope and believe in your powerful intervention in their lives, great resilience to bear with and overcome all tribulation that besets them, which try hard to break their reserves and bring them to despair. Being in Christ, has produced in those of us suffering for the eternal reward of salvation, great perseverance, and we know that forbearance carries with it your promise of imperishable providence in your kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
