When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
Matthew 25: 31-32
Gracious and Sovereign Lord, as I contemplate the words of Matthew 25:31-32, I am reminded of the certainty of Your return and the majesty with which You will come in glory. Surrounded by angels, seated on Your glorious throne, You will gather all nations before You. The thought of standing in that great assembly fills me with awe and reverence. I acknowledge that You are the righteous Judge, discerning every heart and every deed, separating the sheep from the goats according to Your perfect justice.
Lord, in light of this coming judgment, I ask You to search my heart and lead me in the way everlasting. Help me to live each day with the awareness that my actions and choices have eternal significance. May I never grow weary in doing good, especially to those in need, knowing that in serving them, I am serving You. Let my life reflect the love, mercy, and compassion that mark those who belong to Your kingdom. Teach me to see Your image in every person and respond with generosity and grace.
Prepare me, O God, to be counted among the sheep on Your right hand—those who lived with love, humility, and faithfulness. Empower me by Your Spirit to walk in righteousness and obedience, not out of fear, but out of love for You. May my life be a testimony of Your grace and truth, and when that day comes, may I hear You say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Until then, keep my heart steadfast, my spirit willing, and my eyes fixed on You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
