THE 16th OF APRIL
GOD KNOWS OUR WEAKNESSES AND TREATS US AS HIS BELOVED CHILDREN
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities His children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. – Psalms 103:12-14
If David could say, under the Old Covenant how wonderful the Lord’s forgiveness and mercy is for those who fear Him, how much more should we, who are no longer under the Law, but under grace, trust in our heavenly Father’s heart!
God knows us better than we know ourselves, and because He is outside of time, He already knows all that each of us will do in our lives. The Lord knows our emotional, spiritual and genetic baggage we came with, when we became His children. And because He is just and loving, He treats each of us fair and individually, not merely by standard procedures. God meets us where we are at and if we obey His leadership, we can grow and come to fulfill the wonderful and unique plan He has for each one of us.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You for not comparing me with the other people, but treating me individually as a loving Father who knows His child and knows what (s)he can and cannot do. Because You know my weaknesses better than I do, please help me to overcome my weaknesses and to be able to do the things that are so hard for me to accomplish, so that I can live in obedience to You. Amen
