THE 25th OF FEBRUARY
JESUS, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” John 8:12
Jesus is the Light of the world! As the incarnate Word who dwelt among us (John 1:14), He provides everything we need for salvation. He is the perfect example to follow—living a sinless life in complete obedience to the Father. His light dispels darkness, exposes the lies and schemes of the enemy, and guides us in truth. When Jesus dwells in our hearts, He reveals what we must renounce and what we need to change.
The more we surrender to Jesus, the less control the enemy has over our lives. Through His victory on the cross, Satan was defeated, and that victory becomes ours when we accept Jesus as Lord and live for Him. Unconfessed sin gives the enemy an opportunity to harm us, so we must seek forgiveness and remain in God’s presence. The more time we spend with the Lord, the more we are strengthened and filled with the Holy Spirit, equipping us for every step of our journey.
SUGGESTED PRAYER
Lord Jesus, all praise and glory to You! You are the Light who gave me life and delivered me from the power of darkness. Because You are my Lord, the enemy has no claim over me, and in Your holy Name, I stand firm against him in faith. Thank You for loving me beyond measure. Reveal to me more of Your love and the wonderful plan You have for my life, helping me to walk in it step by step. May my life always bring praise to You. Amen
