GOD DOES NOT WORK IN US BEYOND WHAT OUR FREE WILL PERMITS
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21
God has the ability to accomplish far more than we could ever dare to ask or imagine—beyond our boldest prayers, hopes, and dreams. However, it is our free will that determines how much we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us. Though God is capable of doing everything, it is up to us to permit Him to act within our lives. The more we draw near to God, spend time in His presence, and yearn for more of Him, the more we can receive from Him.
We impose the limitations, not God, as He does not work in us beyond what we allow. God deserves all the glory and honor in the church and in Christ Jesus, for every good thing in our lives. His plan is flawless, and every decision He makes is purposeful. Our capacity to receive is tied to our belief, and His plans are always for our benefit.
SUGGESTED PRAY
Dear Lord, You are worthy of all glory, honor, and reverence. I can never fully express my gratitude for all You have done for me. Please forgive me for limiting Your work in my life by lacking faith and not dreaming or praying boldly. There are no limits to Your power, so help me trust in Your plans for me and to ask for all that You desire for me to achieve in this life. Thank You, and I praise You for everything. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen
