Proverbs 3:7-8

18 March, 2023

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. – Proverbs 3:7-8

God our Father, we submissively honor and glorify, thank and worship you, for entrenching into our hearts and souls, the presence and power of your Holy Spirit. It is faith in Jesus’ Name, that enables us to be more strong, and sturdy conquerors in life. There are those who falsely and foolishly put their faith in man, only to experience hurt and sore disappointment. A man’s harvest in life is based solely, on the seed that he has sown, and on what kind of earth and soil he has chosen to sow such seed. The heart is deceptive and the world is full of deceit. Wise thoughts, true commitment and replenishing our faith with your Holy Word, and your faithful Promises, are nourishment for the body and soul.

God, you have blessed us with authority to sow the seed of faith securely, in our hearts and in the hearts of those around us, by sound application, dedication and continued infusion, by example of our Christlike behavior. The Bible tells us to plant our faith as a seed of strength and sustenance, based on which it is possible to get plantations of plenty. Jesus has assured us that faith, even as a grain of mustard seed, can move mountains, if deeply rooted in your Holy Word, whereby nothing shall be difficult or impossible, for faith in Scripture holds with it the ultimate source of power.

Lord, we need such staunch, stable, deep faith imprinted in our hearts, as we strive to plough through life in the midst of this present day, with devastating and devouring influences, infiltrating every family, unsettling us with the horrible truth and realisation that man is totally helpless without your grace. We need to rely on your mercy, power, and loving intervention to deliver, restore and rehabilitate us all. Faith is the element assuring success. We humbly implore your aid and consolation, in Jesus’ Name, with abundant faith in his promise that all we ask, in his Name, you will undoubtedly grant us. Amen
