Psalm 139: 23-24

29 February, 2024

Search me, O God, and know my heart test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. – Psalm 139:23-24

Abba Father, you have known us even before you formed us in the womb and have created each of us wondrously and exquisitely, exclusive in our individual ways. Heavenly Father, your love and mercy for your created beings is so unmatched and absolute, that you know each of us by name and comprehend our most secret thoughts and the hidden feelings of our heart. We praise you and are in awe of your manifold attributes.

Lord, there are many occasions in life when we are in deep distress and need your healing and saving grace. By the building and deepening of our faith in your Holy Word and the hope of eternal salvation which our Lord Jesus assured us, his followers and Christians, we live by our belief and consecrate our lives to walking in your ways. Delve into the recesses of our hearts, judging and awarding grace or punishment, and we will accept and grow in virtue, to attain your favor, according to your Will.

Lord, we plead forgiveness for all our
ungodly, erring thoughts, words and deeds, pledging to become humble servers of your gospel truth. Lead us to integrity and sanctity, to righteousness and faithfulness. Keep us secure from sin and its repercussions and save us from the perils of utter destruction, by making known to us our transgressions, so that, having been conscientiously brought to a state of awareness of our sins, we make reparation and turn to holiness, to gain the gift of salvation and eternal life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
