Psalm 27: 7-9a

27 August, 2020

Hear my voice when I call, O Lord; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek. Do not hide your face from me. Psalm 27:7–9a

Heed the fervent cries of your bereft people, O Gracious God, on Whose Word the world acts and waits upon, Whose word can perish or raise us mortals. You, Lord, by your tender mercy, empowered us to beckon you at will, to receive your beneficence and deliverance from worldly snares. You gave us holy sanction to the throne of grace by prayer, by the workings of your Powerful Spirit, by your unchanging Word, by worship, and by special providences. Your love has no conditions and no duplication. But our devious human nature with its vanities and addictions to worldly pleasures has made us impervious to your warnings and exhortations. Your justice is unblemished and your judgment righteous in abandoning us, leaving us devoid of your Presence. We remorsefully acknowledge that our false egos and sense of power in our self-sufficiency has reduced us to an appalling state of degradation. With contrite hearts we turn our faltering steps to you, conscious of our helplessness and seek the benefit of your unfailing Divine guidance, protection, and steadfastness when there’s no other recourse. We firmly resolve by upright conduct to merit the hope of being ushered into the realm of a life of eternal glory, and in faith beholding your beatific countenance, in Jesus’ Name, we  trust. Amen

  1. Lydia says:

Amen! Great is Thy faithfulness O Lord our God. Thank you Lord for your constant love and mercy. It’s in Jesus’Name we pray, AMEN. 🙏🙏🙏

  2. Amen!Amen! Father God, we long to stand in your holy, loving, merciful and peaceful presence. The world and all it contains cannot give us a single moment of peace, love and joy. Money is the root of all evil and all the money in the world cannot bring us a single moment of true joy and happiness. All the comforts and luxuries which money can buy cannot satisfy us any longer. When Lord will we see you? How long do we have to pine to be in your heavenly presence? How long do we have to suffer pain and torment in this dark dreary world? We want to praise and worship you Lord, now and forever. Thank you for your love, grace and mercy because of which you sent your one and only begotten son to die on the cross, thus bringing us salvation and the promise of eternal life. Please keep us away from wilful sins that separate us from you and give us the joy that comes from your salvation. Thank you Lord God. It’s in Jesus’s holy and precious name we pray. Amen. Alleluia.🙏🙏💐❤️💙
