Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. – Psalm 34:19
God of Righteousness, Eternal Father, you are our Fortress of safety, our Stronghold of strength, our hiding place when we fear oppression and trials. We give you praise and glory Lord, for you punish the wicked and reward the just. You lighten the burdens of the righteous amongst us when we suffer for your greater glory, as you reveal your mighty strength when we are weak. You heed our cries for help, Lord, and rescue us from affliction, with the assurance that you are near to the suffering.
As Christians and as your children, we have been taught the power of prayer and the virtue of service, through love of our fellowmen. As devoted followers of Christ, with deep faith and trust in the gift of your grace and the dispensation of your mercy and love to the faithful, we honor your promises and maintain your commandments, working unceasingly towards walking in your ways, in total obedience, to earn eternal salvation.
When we humbly, in absolute trust and submission to your Holy Will, surrender ourselves to you, we experience your compassion shown to us all, by which you provide us with all things, through the aid and Power of your Holy Spirit. We believe that the trials we face for the purification of our souls, are made bearable, because of your assistance. The oppressors receive condemnation, but all who live in Christ are justified by him and we repose our trust and pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen
