TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
26 NOVEMBER, 2025
Luke 21:12-19
Jesus said to the crowd:
“They will seize and persecute you,
they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons,
and they will have you led before kings and governors
because of my name.
It will lead to your giving testimony.
Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand,
for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking
that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute.
You will even be handed over by parents,
brothers, relatives, and friends,
and they will put some of you to death.
You will be hated by all because of my name,
but not a hair on your head will be destroyed.
By your perseverance you will secure your lives.”
THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD!

REFLECTION
Jesus prepares His followers by reminding them that faithfulness will not always lead to an easy path. He tells them that trials, misunderstandings, and even hostility may come—not because God has abandoned them, but because their lives bear witness to Him. Yet in the midst of these hardships, He gives a profound assurance: He Himself will give them wisdom, strength, and words that no enemy can overpower. These verses remind us that endurance is not passive suffering—it is the steady, courageous trust that God is present, guiding and sustaining us through every challenge. Our perseverance becomes a powerful testimony of His grace at work in us.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your promise to be with me in every trial and to give me the strength, courage, and wisdom I need. Help me to remain steadfast when challenges arise and to trust that You are working even in the difficulties I do not understand. Fill my heart with Your peace, guard my spirit from fear, and let my life be a witness to Your faithfulness. Grant me perseverance to stand firm, knowing that my life is held safely in Your hands. Amen
