TODAY’S GOSPEL READING – 29 JANUARY

TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
29 JANUARY, 2026
Mark 4:21-25

Jesus said to his disciples,
“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket
or under a bed,
and not to be placed on a lampstand?
For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible;
nothing is secret except to come to light.
Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear.”
He also told them, “Take care what you hear.
The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you,
and still more will be given to you.
To the one who has, more will be given;
from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”

THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD!

REFLECTION

Jesus reminds us that faith is not meant to be hidden. The light we receive from God is meant to shine—through our words, choices, and acts of love. When we listen attentively and live generously, God multiplies what we have. But when we ignore His word, even what we think we possess begins to fade. The measure we use—of faith, mercy, and obedience—will be the measure God uses to bless us.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus,
You are the light that brightens my life.
Help me not to hide the faith You have placed in my heart.
Teach me to listen carefully to Your word
and to live it generously each day.
May my life reflect Your truth
so that others may see Your love through me.
Amen
