1 Corinthians 1: 4-5

16 October, 2020

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way – with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge. 1 Corinthians 1:4–5

Almighty Father, each day is a new beginning, when a new offering of glorifying and gratifying prayer can be raised up in exultation to the heavenly domains, for the benefits of your Grace and Mercy rained on us so bountifully.

We confess that we are totally unworthy and forever will be, of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, and notwithstanding our righteous deeds, will never be able to measure up to stand before our Lord. Only Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on the cross has redeemed us and through Him alone we have salvation, and new life.

Allow us Lord, to be productive, both in our spiritual and physical life, in our testimony in words or action, in preaching and study of Scripture, which can only be attained through Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We need transformation Lord, to live rejoicing in your promises, pardoned according to the riches of your grace, sanctified by Christ’s Blood shed for our salvation, and enlightened in the understanding that as co-heirs of the heavenly inheritance we need to gain spiritual graces through inner purification.

Let our hearts be comforted by the assurance of your love, obtained by growing in fellowship with our brethren, humbling ourselves to be of service to one another and understanding and acknowledging the mystery of the Triune Godhead in whom repose all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge to replenish our souls and partake of your Providence through Jesus Christ. Amen
