Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Eternal Father, All-Powerful and Ever-living, you are omnipresent and we praise you with love and thanksgiving, for giving us your Holy Spirit, who is around us and in us, especially in the storms of life, when courage forsakes us. At such times Lord, it is the strength of our faith in your loving steadfastness that helps us to bravely walk through the seasons of severe trials in our life.
Your faithfulness and unfailing promise of being with us till the end of time brings out tremendous reserves of power to defeat the enemy when we are tortured and tormented. The bravery of man shown in the face of sudden and unexpected afflictions or confrontation of almost insurmountable circumstances has been illustrated on several occasions.
No follower of Jesus Christ may be fainthearted, because Jesus is the living epitome of the highest spiritual endowments of love, patience, stewardship, unwavering faith and unbreakable courage. It includes strong discipline, a sturdy belief in our God and absolute trust in the assistance of the Holy Spirit within us.
Father, most of all, we rely on your word, to build our belief and confidence. Scripture teaches, corrects, reproves, trains and nourishes, to equip us to face life with all its bends and turns. The worthy man of God, pursues learning the Word of God, to know God. Supply us with your grace to use as our spiritual and unbeatable armor, the gospel of your truth. Help us to initiate, inculcate, cultivate and spread the truth of your Word, in the name of Jesus. Amen
