Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7
God of Love, you are the True God, the Only Everlasting Father and Jesus your Son is the Son of the Father, One, in Being with you, as we testify every day in the Apostle’s Creed. Jesus’ coming was a climax of the testimony and the exhortation by the prophets, to prepare the way for him. He taught us what pure love is, a total surrender to you, a perfect relationship with you and humble service and love of our neighbor.
Christ gave His disciples this new covenant of love, to bring us to you, cleansed and pure of sin which he destroyed by his sacrificial death. He preached of your love and forgiveness, your grace and your mercy, if we believe in the glories of you and the Kingdom of heaven. He taught us to be his faithful witnesses upon the earth, by following your Holy Word, spreading love and peace, as nothing can be more evidential of relation and alliance to you , as a pure, perfect love.
Love is your nature, O God and your grace and our faith gives us the fruit of your Spirit, which is rooted and grounded in love. It brings with it, the precious gift and promise of eternal life, to all those who believe and persevere diligently and with perfect obedience, in your ways. Your love renews us with a new spirit each day, and makes us live in Christ as true Christians, giving testimony of your
Being, and shining forth the brilliance of your embodiment of love in Jesus’ Name. Amen
