1 Peter 3:13

22 January, 2022

And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
1 Peter 3:13

Lord God on High, we acclaim your Power and Majesty and sing aloud, lauding and praising your Glory and neverending Mercy, for you are a God of goodness and kindness, our Savior, King and Father. You have given us the great gift of Salvation through your Son Jesus Christ, defeating the adversary, and have redeemed us to everlasting life.

As followers of Jesus, with him as our Head and we abiding in him as he is in us, we have the strong assurance that none or few will try to harm us, for we are aligned with your Holy and indwelling Spirit. Being convinced of your promises, whereby you have assigned your angels for our protection in times of danger and difficulty, we cleave to you, firm in belief, our faith endowing us with your grace. By your intervention, the enemy’s many attacks are melted and even they that are of themselves most wicked and hard-hearted, have no power to harm us.

We pray for the resilience to continue following that which is wholesome and remain followers of goodness and kindness, who do good to the evil and unkind. For your grace is sufficient to secure us and make it impossible for harm-doers to be successful in their wicked and evil agendas. For If we are diligent in doing good to others, none will have the heart to do us harm. We entreat you Lord, to stay the enemy’s hand, and keep us out of harm’s way, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
