Acts 20:24

1 September, 2023

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. – Acts 20:24

Almighty God, Gracious in Majesty and Splendor, we exult in the knowledge of the wonders of your Kingdom and the life eternal granted to those who live in Christ and follow your Holy Will, in perfect humility and obedience. A true Christian embodies the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, emulating him in thought and deed and living a life of absolute surrender to the plans and purposes of our Eternal Father. As Christ’s disciples, we live and abide in him, and are consecrated to spreading the Holy Gospel to all mortal souls.

Lord, you have awarded all those who follow your Holy Word, and spread it far and wide, and who live in the Spirit, the free grace of eternal life. We are compelled to let go of all bondage and fears, even the fear of death, for we know that temporal things will cease to exist in due time, but your Kingdom of Heaven lasts forever. We rejoice in your unchangeable promises Lord, for all those who persevere till the end, will win the crown of eternal salvation as made known to us by Christ’s resurrection and ascension into heaven.

Dear Father, help us to fulfill the ministry and commission we have been entrusted with and to perform it with continued joy and vigor, oblivious of obstacles and pitfalls and superseding all human errors, for the glory of your Name and the grace we will receive thereof. Your grace and mercy is what we sinners pray for and we go forward spreading the good news of your Gospel of Truth and Grace, so that, having fulfilled the purpose of our lives to your acceptance of our conduct, we may become worthy to stand in your Presence and worship you, in our Lord Jesus’ Name. Amen
