The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. – Ecclesiastes 12:13
Heavenly Father, we radiate joy and happiness as Christians, because we are living in Christ with the indwelling Spirit as our Counselor and Helper and we have the promise of eternal life, as children of God who have been chosen and called to follow Christ. You have blessed us with all we need, for life and godliness, and we receive the just dispensation of the riches of your grace, according to the extent of our faith.
You established your new covenant with us, under which you have commanded us to live with love, for you and for our fellowmen, a selfless, unconditional love, which you have for us. Father, we have been freed from our sins by our Messiah and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, who has taught us to love in humility and service towards all our brethren. But unless we practice this in our lives, with fervour and sincerity, putting others’ needs before our own, we cannot receive the blessing you have reserved for your faithful.
Help us Lord, to offer you true worship, reverence and devotion by keeping your commandments and accessing your grace by winning your favor. May we ever desire to love and serve you and to trust and obey you, genuinely having the fear of your displeasure to constantly set us on the right path. As your chosen and anointed ones, may we rise above the trivial pleasures of earthly life, which can lead us away from you. May we strive to surrender our lives to gaining your rich blessings, which are more precious than the temporal gains that the world offers. May we choose only what is pleasurable in your sight and live our lives glorifying your goodness and trusting your bounty, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
