Ephesians 4:2

10 January, 2022

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. – Ephesians 4:2

Eternal Father, we are your children, weak, unworthy and sinful. Our hearts are full of gratitude Abba Father, for, notwithstanding our mortal weaknesses, you have not deserted or abandoned us and you have, in the midst of our very wickedness, uplifted us by displaying the extent of your love and mercy. All you desire is our faithfulness, in the way you have revealed to us, and our humility and devotion to walk in your ways worthily.

As children of God, we have the great duty to follow Christ and abide with him, and in him, and to allow his Holy Spirit dominion over our hearts and our beings, for having given us the ultimate gift of eternal life. We need to have faith in the doctrinal truth Christ has shared with us and continue his ministry in the world as Christians and representatives of Jesus, being members of his Church.

Lord, we thank you for bestowing upon us the spiritual blessing and grace of salvation. We entreat you to help us, as we determine to change our lives to become worthy of your calling. We pray that we may increase in faith and live gentle and humble lives, supportive of our brethren, cultivating the virtue of love, forbearance and mercy. You have shown us mercy and forgiveness and we seek to grow in love, understanding and submission, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
