For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.- Hebrews 5:12
Lord of all Creation, who teaches us the paths to follow, you are our Infallible God, and your word is law and learning, pure and unblemished. Lord, your Holy Spirit guides and counsels us on the way to spiritual maturity. There are many things we may want to say or do, but all are not ready for them, because they are lacking in wisdom and knowledge of how to assimilate the truth, to meditate and to feed oneself on the Word.
God, only you can reveal the depth of that truth and we need to be attuned to you, if we are to receive the power of true understanding, taking the time to read, study, watch or listen to your Holy Word. Almighty Father, grant us the spiritual revelation and experience of your gospel truth. Let the Spirit lead us to the right message to follow, to attain your grace and favor.
Lord, we desire to grow in the wisdom of the Word. We are willing to go through all levels of understanding, for as long as you teach us. May we go about it in the proper manner, growing from strength to strength in the way infants do, that we may grow and raise up others to approach you and be included by faith, as Christian believers, all to the glory of our God in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen
