He will feed His flock like a Shepherd. He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young. – Isaiah 40:11
O Lord, we praise You as the Good Shepherd, tender and mighty, who holds the universe in Your hand yet stoops down to care for the weakest among us. You are the God of unfailing love, guiding, protecting, and carrying Your people with gentleness and strength. We worship You for Your compassion that never fails and for Your power that never diminishes. Truly, You are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise.
In Isaiah 40:11, we are reminded of Your tender care as a shepherd who gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart, gently leading those who are with young. This verse shows us Your intimate love and attention, especially toward the vulnerable and weary. Unlike earthly leaders who may overlook the weak, You embrace them with special care. It reveals Your heart of mercy and the assurance that no one is too small or fragile to be seen and carried by You.
Gracious Shepherd, we pray that we may always rest in Your arms, trusting in Your guidance and comfort. Carry us when we are weary, hold us close when we are afraid, and lead us gently when our steps falter. Help us also to reflect Your shepherd’s heart by caring for the weak, comforting the hurting, and leading with compassion in our own lives. May we never doubt Your tender love, but always walk in the assurance that You carry us close to Your heart. Amen
