Isaiah 43: 18-19

8 January, 2024

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18–19

Father God, you are a God of miracles. Your perfect and awesome creation has been and will be till the end of time, notwithstanding natural calamities and vagaries of time. They take their being, according to the form you’ve given them, grow to full splendor, wither, die, and new formations start again, with the miracle of birth. Thank you Almighty Father, for giving us life and new life, bestowing upon us the Power of your Holy Spirit, indwelling in our hearts, as our constant counsellor, forging the path which we must follow.

Lord, you are a Mighty God and have been absolving your people of all iniquity, however disgraceful and undeserving we have been. Through endless ages, you have been lifting your people out of slavery and bondage, both physical and spiritual and have been showing us the Light of your Ways, first through the prophets and later through your beloved Son Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer who made us righteous in your sight, by washing us pure of sin. You have renewed our beings time and time again, to make us worthy inheritors of your Kingdom.

We offer exuberant thanks to you, our Eternal Father, for you have deemed us worthy of being saved from perishing and have brought forth new beings, by renewing our hearts and spirits. You have given us new hope through the unshakable promises of Jesus. You have clothed us in purity and sanctity and have placed us on the unswerving path to our heavenly abode. From the wilderness you have made a way and led us to fresh and green pastures where we are enriched by your grace and favor and want for nothing. We are nothing without your favor. Grant that we flourish in faith, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
