Isaiah 61:10

15 July, 2020

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10, RSV

Our Father in heaven, our God, our All, we thank you and joyously profess that you and you alone are the God of our salvation. You have graciously bestowed on us multiple gifts of forgiveness for our iniquities, faith in your loving mercy and hope in our resurrected Savior Jesus, the greatest gift of all. We bow in humble gratitude for the gift of your Holy Spirit to lead, guide and comfort us at every step we take. We despise our many transgressions which have crucified our Lord Jesus and profess to make atonement and rise above our mortal debasement. Just as the sorrow of night gives way to joy in the morning, so also Jesus’ resurrection and death have made way for our eternal salvation and we rejoice in glorious exultation because our Lord has lifted us up, cleansed and purified us, adorned us with raiments of righteousness and will present us in our Kingdom of inheritance before you, Abba Father, to live in your everlasting favor. This we firmly believe, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
