If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is a sin for them.
James 4:17
Heavenly Father, You see into the depths of our hearts and know us completely. When the Samaritan woman said, “I have no husband,” You, Lord Jesus, lovingly revealed the truth of her life. You did not condemn her but gently uncovered her need for grace and healing. We thank You that even when we try to hide behind partial truths, You call us into deeper honesty, not to shame us, but to restore us.
Lord, help us to come before You with open hearts and truthful lips. Strip away our pretenses and self-deceptions. May we have the courage to acknowledge our weaknesses, trusting that Your response will be love and transformation. Just as You engaged the woman in a life-changing conversation, meet us in our brokenness and speak life into the places we try to cover or avoid.
Gracious God, awaken us to Your mercy that meets truth with tenderness. Shape us through Your truth into vessels that carry Your living water to others. Let our story, once marked by shame, become a testimony of Your grace. May we be faithful witnesses of the Truth, and tell others about the One who knows everything we’ve ever done and still chooses to love us. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen
