Mark 13: 35-37

28 November, 2020

Watch, then, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming – it might be in the evening or at midnight or before dawn or at sunrise. If he comes suddenly, he must not find you asleep. What I say to you, then, I say to all: Watch! Mark 13:35–37

Almighty God, from the breaking of dawn to the sunset of our life, we exalt your holy name. We profess our faith in you, in your goodness, your mercy and your steadfast love. Lord, we await your coming, to put an end, eternally, to suffering and pain, which is presently at its zenith.

We reaffirm that you are the king of the hemisphere, of the heavens, of our entire existence. By your radiance, which lights up the firmament, we see and believe. In your justice and compassion we place our hope. Darkness of sin and death you will vanquish and establish your kingdom of peace and joy. You will judge and reward the just and the wicked adversaries you shall condemn forever.

We are exhorted to be vigilant, to remain alert and to refine our spiritual lives, burnishing our armor of trust and conviction in your gospel of truth and the coming of Christ our savior to trample the evil one and his ignominous horde. With obedience to your holy will Lord, help us face all oncoming trials and persecution, continuing our mission of proclaiming our faith in our deliverance by Lord Jesus and our impending salvation and may we overcome our persecutors, and deliver all to the catastrophic impact of God’s wrath on the unjust.

Lord, we beseech you to increase your mercy on us when the day of judgment arrives, and though many believers will be killed for their faith, we abide in the return of our Lord Jesus, when any attempt to live by the world’s rules will be futile and when Jesus will extend his reign of peace to the ends of the earth forevermore. Amen

  1. Amen to the above prayer made to Almighty God in the name of Jesus. We should be prepared for the Lord’s coming, for He will come suddenly when we do not expect Him to come. We should always be in a state of grace if we want to be taken to Heaven and eternal life. ?✝️❤️?

  2. Lydia says:

Amen! Heavenly Father please help us to be vigilant and ready with our lamps lit,( like the five wise virgins), waiting to welcome our Lord Jesus Christ, when he comes to take us home to our heavenly abode. Praise and thank you Jesus.???
