God Almighty, the Giver of life, we, your children, rejoice that we have been afforded the singular privilege of communion and conversation with you. With Jesus as our Living Head, we profess our commitment to honoring your Holy Will and as your chosen ones, to performing the special commission of increasing the knowledge of our God and spreading the good news of the gospel. Protect us from the evil designs that provoke dissent, deliver us Loving Father, from the affectations of worldly indiscipline, anoint us with your Holy Spirit, as we promote and cement our brotherhood in unison with all.
May our actions, both individual and corporate, be pleasing to You, and succeed in establishing communal harmony and keeping the presence of Jesus in our midst. As Jesus has affirmed that he will be divinely present among his disciples as they seek unity in rendering decisions, may his omnipresence be our sustaining strength and may he, as our High Priest, impart to us wisdom, in leading the congregation of Christians in prayer and petition, intercession and worship, reconciliation and fellowship.
Lord God, bless all our endeavors to keep your Church strong and to build up with fervent ardour your congregation forming it, as members of Christ’s Body. Father, may your rule dominate the earth and spread to every corner, binding us all together as one creation, with one Creator. Jesus came to fulfill your law of spreading your eternal Kingdom through faith, love, belief and self-sacrifice, to bring together what is scattered and to strengthen the bonds between peoples all over the world. Help us to achieve indivisibility in our Lord Jesus’ Name. Amen
